Music Monday - Meet Me In Montana
I just love this country song from Marie Osmond and Dan Seals! Enjoy!!
***Lyrics:
Dan:
Wrote my whole life down in an old book,
Songs about you and me.
Been singing to every soul in Tennessee.
Nobody seems to listen,
No one ever smiles the way that you do.
So I guess you never hear me on the radio,
And I'd give up this crazy dream of mine to hold you once more.
Won't you meet me in Montana.
I wanna see the mountains in your eyes.
Woah, woah, I had all of this life I can handle.
Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.
Marie:
I left home for Hollywood.
Lookin' for a part to play.
Well you always said I had such a pretty face.
But, I guess I'm not that pretty,
'Cause no one looks at me the way you do.
Well you'll always be a movie star to me.
Darlin' now I guess it's time that I let go of that dream.
Both:
Won't you meet me in Montana
I wanna see the mountains your eyes.
Woah, Woah I had all of this life I can handle
Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.
Well were stuck here in these hills that they call mountains.
Darlin' back home in your arms is right where I want to be.
Won't you meet me in Montana
I wanna see the mountains your eyes.
Woah, Woah I had all of this life I can handle
Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.
In Montana.
I wanna see the mountains in your eyes.
Woah, woah, I had all of this life that I can handle.
Meet me underneath that big Montana sky.

I've never heard this song before. :) Prolly before my time ya? Hehehe
Happy Monday LJ!
Oh, LJ...I cannot believe you found this song...it is one of my all-time faves. I used to play it over and over again during that long distance romance I mentioned over on my Music Monday on Roxiticus Desperate Housewives. It was probably a totally one-sided fantasy, but I would imagine me giving up New York City and him giving up San Francisco and the two of us living happily ever after in Montana. Brings back memories, and a reminder that it is a good thing we don't always get what we wish for. Thanks!
Roxy
LJ, I have never heard this song before. I bet C has, but can't ask him, he's already at work now!
I LOVE Marie Osmond, though. She's really pretty, despite the huge hairdo in this vid. It's a very nice song, though!
Thanks for sharing this beautiful song.
Now it became my favorite too :)

I love this song! Another thing Roxy and I have in common. I actually saw Marie and Dan Seals perform live in Pontiac, Michigan at the High Kicker Saloon. It was a small venue, maybe 1000 people, and Marie was walking through the aisles shaking hands with her fans, including me.
I've been a fan of Dan Seals since the 70s with England Dan and John Ford Coley. His solo country hits were great, and this was one of the best!
LJ, this is a lovely song. I had not heard it before. Wow, what a flashback too see Marie Osmond.... Have a wonderful day! :)
Hiya Matt!!
